Winter Park Plein Air Painting

I spent a portion of my day in Winter Park on Park Ave,  yesterday.  Winter Park is one of my favorite places.  They have a beautiful park across from several shops and restaurants.  It’s really lovely when It’s not packed with people.

I’ve been wanting to attempt painting outside in Plein Air as they call it.  It’s very challenging and I need a lot more practice before I can do it well.  But, I had a nice time trying it on for size.

However, while I was there I took a bunch of reference photos for future paintings.  I focused on the rose garden.  It’s not in full bloom but there were some nice flowers to choose from.  I’ll share a few with you, and maybe you can use them to practice if you decide to give it a go.  Later you may see some of them show up in my paintings.  Enjoy!
