For the past six months I’ve been setting up at the DeLand Farmer’s Market one Friday per month. If you’ve not been there, it’s worth the trip. Artisan Alley is filled with local artisans on Friday nights. I’ve seen some unique creations such as homemade dog biscuits, jewelry, soap and bat boxes.
Families dine in Downtown DeLand, then make their way to the Alley for a little shopping. Not only will you see artisans, but food vendors abound. There’s an organic bread truck which always has a line, an ice cream truck and several other sweet treat tents.
Before the evening ends, if you stay until nine you are sure to see the bubble bicycle as well as street dancers. One evening, my tent was set up next to the dancers which gave me a little entertainment while I painted away.
I’ve decided to try a few new locations in 2019. The best way to find me will be to keep track of my Event page or sign up for email notifications.
Let me know if you’re in DeLand and would like me to make a trip out there to meet with you for a commissioned artwork. I’d be happy to schedule a visit, but I have nothing scheduled in the near future.
As always, thank you for being so supportive and hopefully, I’ll see you at the beach.
