Tuesday evening, my women’s surf club met up for a moonrise surf. We met in Cocoa Beach about dinner time and more than twenty of us surfed until the sun went down. The moon was almost full. I said, ‘hello’ to the man in the moon once it rose out of the clouds.
The surf was sloppy but we did have a bit of fun anyway, since it wasn’t too big for us.
A couple of ladies saw a black tip shark in the surf. I knew there would probably be a few sharks so I wore Shark Banz on both my ankle and wrist. I surprised myself by going out into the surf after hearing about the shark but, it was pretty big and admittedly that was a bad decision even with a shark deterrent on.
